PRIVACY POLICY

This web site is controlled and operated by The Career Exposure Network™, an Oregon corporation. Your privacy is very important to us. This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect about you and what may happen to that information. By using this site, you expressly and unconditionally consent to our use and disclosure of your personally identifiable information. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to the Terms of Use.

Information Collection. Our primary goal in collecting personal information is to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. We receive and store on our site any information you enter or give us in any other way. You can choose not to provide certain information, but then you might not be able to take advantage of certain services or features. We automatically track certain information based upon your behavior on our site for the purpose of internal research and marketing efforts. This information may include the URL that you just came from, which URL you next go to, what browser you are using, your IP address, and other information.

We use data collection devices such as "cookies" on our site. "Cookies" are small files placed on your hard drive that assist us in providing customized services. Most cookies are "session cookies," meaning that they are automatically deleted from your hard drive at the end of a session. You are always free to decline our cookies if your browser permits, although in that case you may not be able to use certain features on our site. Additionally, you may encounter "cookies" or other similar devices on our site placed by third parties, such as in connection with a banner advertisement. We do not control the use of cookies by third parties.

Information Use. You agree that we may use your personally identifiable information to perform our services, execute transactions with you, and other site customization and marketing efforts. You agree that we may use your information to contact you and deliver information to you. By accepting the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, you expressly agree to receive this information. If we send such communications, we will provide clear methods for opting out of the receipt of certain types of future communications. Due to technical and legal constraints, including the use of stored "back up" systems, you understand it may take considerable time to completely remove your personally identifiable information from our databases in response to your requests.

Information Sharing. As a general policy, we do not sell any personally identifiable information about you to any third party. However, we aggregate (gather up data across all user accounts) personally identifiable information and disclose such information in a non-personally identifiable manner to advertisers and other third parties primarily for marketing and promotional purposes. We also permit third party advertising companies to post advertisements on our site. These companies may use information about your visits to our site and other sites in order to provide advertisements that may be of interest to you. We employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. These other companies may have access to your personal information as necessary to perform their functions, but have agreed not to retain or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes or share that information with any other third party except as necessary to perform their functions.

Since this is a career site, we give you the option of putting your resume in our database. When placing your resume in our database, you are given two options. You can store your resume in our database, but not allow it to be searchable by employers. Not allowing your resume to be searchable means that you can use it to apply for a job online, but it will not be searchable through our resume database. Alternatively, you can store your resume in our database and allow it to be searched by employers. If you allow your resume to be searchable, then those employers and recruiters that we grant access to our resume database will have access to your resume. These employers have the ability to distribute your resume to their own hiring systems via e-mail. It is our intention that only paying or prospective customers will have access to the resume database, but we cannot guarantee that other parties will not, without our consent, gain access to this database. You may remove your resume from our searchable database at any time. However, employers and recruiters who have access to the database may retain a copy of your resume in their own files or databases. We are not responsible for the retention, use, or privacy of resumes in these instances, or for the use or privacy of resumes by any of such parties while resumes are in the database.

We use industry standard practices to protect your privacy. However, we cannot ensure that all of your personally identifiable information will never be disclosed in ways not otherwise described in this Privacy Policy. For example, we may be forced to disclose information to the government or third parties under certain circumstances, third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications, or other users may abuse or misuse your information that they collect from this site. In the event we go through a business transition, such as a merger, being acquired by another company, or selling a portion of our assets, users' personal information may be part of the assets transferred. After the business transition, users will be notified of any changes in the use of their personally identifiable information as provided in this policy or by other reasonable and appropriate method. Any feedback you communicate to us about our site or services becomes the property of The Career Exposure Network™. We may use this feedback, such as success stories, for marketing purposes, or to contact you for further feedback on the site.

Other Disclosure of Information. This policy applies solely to the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. To the extent that you disclose your information to other parties, whether through other sites or directly to employers and other parties, these policies do not apply to their use or disclosure of the information you disclose to them. We are not responsible for the retention, use, or privacy of information you disclose to other parties. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site, through links contained on our site or other means, and to read the privacy statements of each and every site that collects personally identifiable information.

Children. Children are not eligible to use our services and we ask minors (under the age of 18) not to submit any personal information to us. If you are a minor, you can use this service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.

Privacy Policy Changes. We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time based on your comments and our need to accurately reflect our data collection and disclosure practices. All changes to this policy are effective thirty days after we provide notice of the changes by posting the changes here on this site.
